How to delete your account
You can delete your account directly in the Nevt app. The process is immediate and automated.
- Open the Nevt app
- Go to the Profile tab (person icon in the bottom navigation bar)
- Scroll down and tap "Delete account"
- Confirm deletion in the dialog by tapping "Delete"
If you have an active Premium subscription, you must cancel it in your store settings (App Store or Google Play) before deleting your account. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription and you may continue to be charged.
What data will be deleted
After deleting your account, the following data will be permanently deleted:
- Your profile (name, email, profile photos, bio, goals, date of birth, gender)
- All uploaded photos
- Upcoming and active events you organized
- All waves (sent and received)
- Private chats and messages
- Nearby mode location data
- Push notification token
- Subscription data in our system
- Activity statistics and experience level
What data will be anonymized
Some data is anonymized instead of deleted to maintain platform consistency:
- Event chat messages — your messages will remain visible but will be labeled as "[Deleted user]" with no profile photo
- Ratings — ratings you gave or received will be anonymized
- Completed events — events you organized that were completed or cancelled will be anonymized
What data may be retained
- Reports — reports related to terms of service violations are kept as an immutable audit trail and cannot be deleted
- Blacklist — if your account was banned for violating terms of service, your email and device identifiers may remain on the registration blacklist
- Backups — data may persist in system backups for up to 90 days after deletion
Alternative way to delete your account
If you are unable to delete your account from within the app (e.g., you cannot log in), contact us by email at nevtapp@gmail.com, providing the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.
